Lachlan has an alter ego: The Serpent’s Nest.

Debut album The End of the Beginning of the End available on Spotify here.

The music that emerges from Lachlan’s basement reflects a love of both poetry and punk rock. The pseudonym ‘The Serpent’s Nest’ is a metaphor for the wicked problems addressed in Lachlan’s writing and music. It is also a phrase used in his first book to describe an extremely prickly ethical dilemma he faced early in his medical career. Finally, and most poignantly, it refers to the painting on the basement wall that was a gift from a patient and which provides a key source of inspiration when he is in full-throttle creative mode.

Lachlan sings and plays guitar, bass and keyboard. He cheats with the drums and uses a programme.
